Andrija Anžel, A-SMYLE alumnus (generation 2013/14), with a group of friends helped re-create the youth theater in Paraćin that closed in the spring 2014, due to the lack of money following the heavy floods in Serbia. Andrija and the friends, with financial support of American Councils, put together a play, which premiered on January 11, 2015. More than 250 people from Paraćin came to see the play. The money from the tickets sale will be invested in future activities of Andrija’s theater group. About his experience Andrija says: “The work was not easy, we spent a lot of time in organizing, promoting, handing out the flyers. But at the end, all that matters is that we reached our goal, and that our community recognized our effort.” Bravo, Andrija!
