My name is Naida Isabegovic. I am a member of a city choir called “Ansambl Iskre” from Tuzla and together with our Cultural Center in Tuzla (“Bosanski Kulturni Centar – BKC”) we made a concert as a fundraiser, in order to raise money for people affected by the recent floods and mudslides in Bosnia and Herzegovina. BKC made posters and tickets for us for free, and also gave us the space for the concert. We also invited other city choirs to join us, and a lot of them were happy to help. Price of the ticket was 5 KM, and eventually we sold around 500-600 tickets. Other than performing at the concert, I also sold the tickets. The concert was held on June 17, and it was a success. After everything was done, we chose a couple of representatives from our choir, who visited few families, to see which one of them needed help the most. The money was given to two families and it was handed to them by our representatives. That way we made sure that the money went where it should.
