This Fair was the best visited fair EducationUSA center has organized so far, with over 480 students and additional number of parents visiting the fair. EducationUSA advisers are extremely pleased with the response of students since the huge attendance sends a good image to the U.S. universities representatives. Increasing number of students send out a message to U.S. higher education representatives that there is need for this type of events and that Bosnian students consider the United States for the next stop in their education.

The Fair was also visited by the U.S. Ambassador in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maureen Cormack who announced, in her statement to the media, a new exchange program for Bosnian and Herzegovinian students at University of Dayton. Ambassador Cormack also talked with the American Councils staff and with Regional Educational Advising Coordinator, Ms. Cheryl Francisconi about the role of EducationUSA center in Sarajevo in internationalization of education.

In days following the fair, many other students have contacted the EducationUSA center to get more information and to receive assistance in choosing a university that would be their best fit and the application process in general.

“This year we had many good partners helping us in promoting the event, and I would especially like to thank the Office of Public Affairs of the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo, who worked hard on promoting the Fair in their Spelling Bee contests. Also, our media partner- web portal stipendije.ba did an extremely good job in promoting the Fair to their contacts and on their website and social media,” said Aleksandra Popović, EducationUSA student adviser.

Almost 500 students attended the fair.
