On October 19, a sunny Saturday afternoon, five of us visited the Elderly House in Pristina, Kosovo for the second time this year. We picked up cakes and drinks and showed up at the facility after the residents had finished lunch. There had been a few changes since the last time we visited—the main room was painted in bright colors, and there was new furniture.
There were a lot of residents in the main room when we arrived, and they looked happy to see us. The visit took place only a couple of days after Eid, so cake seemed appropriate for the occasion. Some of the residents remembered us from our last visit and were eager to chat and ask us how school is going. A few of the ladies there were so glad about our visit that they told us they can’t wait until our next one. That made us all very happy, and a lot of hugs and kisses were exchanged!
